2026: Proof required instead of flat-rates

Tax-free charging flat-rates are ending. Documentation is now mandatory.

Starting January 1, 2026, flat-rate reimbursements (€15–70/month) are no longer allowed in Germany. Employers must now verify actual kWh consumed—via wallbox meter, vehicle logs, or app. Meru provides exactly that: per-session documentation, automatically.
